  • Is your phone number visible and clickable at the top of every page? (0-2)
  • Does every page have a clear call-to-action? (0-2)
  • Do you have Google Analytics 4 installed and tracking? (0-2)

Category 2 Maximum: 10 points

Category 3 — Social Media

  • Do you have a complete Facebook business page? (0-2)
  • Do you post at least 3 times per week consistently? (0-2)
  • Do you post before-and-after photos of your work? (0-2)
  • Do you respond to all comments and messages within 24 hours? (0-2)
  • Do you have active Instagram or TikTok presence? (0-2)

Category 3 Maximum: 10 points

Category 4 — Lead Response

  • Do you respond to every new lead within 60 minutes during business hours? (0-2)
  • Do you have an automated response system for after-hours inquiries? (0-2)
  • Do you follow up at least 3 times with leads that don't immediately convert? (0-2)
  • Do you track every lead from first contact to close or loss? (0-2)
  • Do you know your current lead-to-customer conversion rate? (0-2)

Category 5 — Email Marketing

Category 8 — Reputation Management

  • Do you have testimonials displayed on your website? (0-2)

Category 9 — Customer Retention

  • Do you follow up with every customer within 48 hours of completing a job? (0-2)
  • Do you have a system to re-engage customers who haven't returned in 90 days? (0-2)
  • Do you have a formal referral program with clear incentives? (0-2)
  • Do you track customer lifetime value for your business? (0-2)
  • Do you have a loyalty program or recurring service subscription option? (0-2)

Category 9 Maximum: 10 points

Category 10 — Measurement and Strategy

  • Do you track where every new customer comes from? (0-2)
  • Do you review your marketing metrics at least monthly? (0-2)
  • Do you have a written 12-month marketing plan? (0-2)
  • Do you compare your performance year-over-year, not just month-over-month? (0-2)
  • Do you allocate at least 5% of revenue to marketing investment? (0-2)

Category 10 Maximum: 10 points

Add up your totals from all 10 categories. Maximum possible score: 100.

  • 80 to 100: You have a strong marketing foundation. Focus on optimization and scaling what is already working.
  • 60 to 79: Good foundation with meaningful gaps. Prioritize the lowest-scoring categories for the fastest impact.
  • 40 to 59: Significant opportunities remain. A structured marketing system would have an immediate and measurable impact on your business.
  • 20 to 39: Your business is largely invisible online. Competitors with consistent marketing presence are capturing customers who should be yours.
  • 0 to 19: Your marketing foundation needs to be built from scratch. The good news: the opportunity is enormous and the results will be rapid.
